The idea of Agribuy came from a farmer… we wanted all farmers to get all the benefits of the world wide web and see a huge range of kit and get better deals on buying it. It's as simple as that.

Alistair Bett: Agribuy was my idea. Being actively involved in my family farm and with all our family friends and neighbours being in the industry, I wanted to make it easier for farmers to find, buy and sell machinery and to get the best deals possible in the marketplace. It needed to be simple, quick and free. Don’t get me wrong I’m not a computer genius but I do believe that the agricultural industry needed to be better served, slicker and deliver better deals for the farmer and I see this being online.

So I’ve got the website designer and we’ve partnered with some of the leading finance companies within the sector to bring that up to date, making the best possible deals for our customers. It has been working really well for farmers - we clocked £7.2 million pounds of kit bought and sold in just year one!

Now we have moved into plant - this is just the beginning of everyone can get better machinery and deals all in one click of a button.
